Does God exist??
I honestly believe if you study anything to it’s endpoint you inevitably come to a simple conclusion:
GOD EXISTS
One area I came to that conclusion in is language.
When you try to translate something or learn a new language what are you doing?
You quickly realize you can NOT translate word for word. You need to take steps back. The grammar of each language is different. Similar words have different meanings in different contexts. Word for word translation make no sense.
(Aside: we do now have computers that do exception jobs with grammar and language but do they give language meaning or are they just manipulating sympbols?)
What’s it all come down do?
What gives words meaning?
adlfjalsdfjsadfl — that means nothing right?
But what if I said from now on that group of characters in that order means “Jesus is Lord”
What you need is someone to interpret the letters. Someone to interpret the speech. Someone to read or hear it and understand it or give it meaning.
So you need someone or something. Words and letters and speech are nothing without someone or something to interpret, read or hear it.
That’s where meaning comes from. Someone or some being existing. A person with a lived experience and emotions that take the words in, personalize what’s been received and givex in meaning.
Without that its nothing.
Now where did ‘the word’ originate? How did language and its medium of passing information and meaning come from?
John 1:1
The Word Became Flesh
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
