John 1:1-5
The Word Became Flesh
- 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
- 2 He was with God in the beginning.
- 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
- 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.
- 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it
God is the Word. Got created everything through the word.
God shows us how important the word is. It’s creation. What he spoke was created. What you speak you can create. What you say to others matters. The word is powerful.
In the end God is sovereign but we can see the power of the word in our life. Say out loud that you want something and you’re more likely to get it.
But it’s also the tool we have been given. It’s how we come to faith. It’s how you make decisions. It’s how we think.
We use language. We communicate with words. God shows us the power of words. If we continue to speak words enough I believe we come to the truth. That’s the word. That’s God.
