Is the Bible True?

Inerrancy – is the belief that the Bible “is without error or fault in all its teaching”

Is that true?

In one way that’s actually easy to find out.

What’s a keyword in that definition?

“Belief”

Do you belief it’s true?

I do. So for me it’s true.

A whole book being without error? No faults?

YUP!

There. It’s true for me since I believe it to be true.

A little deeper we can see this isn’t farfetched. It’s easy. God is real. God is sovereign. He controls all things. Would it be hard to create book that’s without error?

He created ‘hard’, he created ‘books’, he created everything. Of course he could create a book without error.

If you don’t believe he could then you have an opinion of God that is not true. God can do anything. Think of something impossible. Think of something illogical. Think of something that defies your view of reality. God can do it all. You may not understand it. But if you can’t that’s only because he has given you that amount of understanding. God literally created everything.

The Bible is true. If you believe it, then if follows that it is true. If you believe it’s not, then you’re betting against God. Betting he couldn’t give us a book reference to himself in the world he created. Should be obvious who wins that bet. 60% of the time, he wins every time.
