NBA rule changes – Admitting somethings wrong and making a change

The NBA has implemented some new rules and so far it has made the game much more enjoyable to watch.

Whistles were being blown after offensive players would either pump fake a defender and then jump into the defender. Or take a jump shot as a they bumped a defender coming off a screen as Trae Young loved love to do.

So far some of the most notable names affected are stars Trae Young, Damian Lillard and James Harden. Stars will figure it out.

It’s a massive improvement for both fans and the game.

Meta World Peace (previously Ron Artest) weighed in and he agrees and took it a step further saying it should have been done a lot sooner.

He also made the interesting and intelligent suggestion that rule makers should be directly involved in the sport. They should play the game that are making calls on the rules for. This should be true for anyone making any types of regulation or rules. People on the outside have little grasp of the repercussions their decisions have.

A big benefit of this will be defenses. Fouls can add up and severely limit a players minutes since they don’t want to foul out. Players will be less reluctant to challenge shots. Purists of the sport like the game on both sides of the ball. I love the defensive aspect of the game so the change has made the games much more enjoyable to watch.

It’s nice to see an as large as the NBA can admit error and try to make a correction even if its to the detriment of it’s superstars.
