We are now seeing reports that Laine possibly got into with an assistant coach.
It seems like Columbus is having a PR nightmare. Hard to blame this on Patrik as these types of problems existed before he go there and are a factor in why he ended up in Columbus in the first place.
Laine has shown the he plays a passionate game as seen with his Gordie Howe Hatrik in his final game with the Winnipeg Jets. It’s definitely possible he got into it with a coach although it’s hard to say when. He was benched in the middle of the game. Laine is only a restricted free agent at the end of this year and if the Blue Jackets are leaking team issues to the media he might find it’s better to move on. He’s a very candid player and an unbelievable talent. But so far in Columbus it’s been a roller coaster start.
