Patrik Laine has quickly gotten onto the score sheet with his new team having scored previously in just his second game with the team. That goal was a on a backhander in traffic.
In his 3rd game with his new team Patrik uncorked a couple of classic Laine bombs.
Both goals are examples of a rare skill Laine has. He is deadly from distance. He rockets these shots. The first one is hard to even perceive where the puck is. One clue with the goalies head snapping to look over his shoulder.
What makes Laine’s shooting so impressive is his 1) quick release 2) ability to fire through traffic 3) deadly aim 4) lighting velocity. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone shoot the puck like him and I’m not sure anyone ever has. Hopefully with his new team he can continue to find the back of the net. He already seems to have had some great chemistry with teammate Seth Jones. At times the Winnipeg Jets PP seemed to stagnant but Jones has done a great job of getting the opposition to bite before he swings it across for a Laine Bomb.
