The Toronto Raptors selected Scottie Barnes with the number 4 pick in this years NBA draft had a great start to his career in his first Summer League game. Check out the highlights below.
In my opinion he looks like a new age Dennis Rodman. And that’s a good thing.
He has a reputation for his personality and it’s already been on display with his engagement with Raptors fans. His personality might not end up being as flamboyant as Rodman’s and that’s probably a good thing. He has a similar gate and stature to the former NBA champion. He plays with the same energy. He can also do a little bit of everything and is a strong rebounder like Rodman.
But Barnes seems to be an improved version of the Worm. He’s a better ball handler, passer and would think his 3-ball will be superior.
Barnes already looks like a unique talent and should get heavy minutes this year even as a rookie.
